Accurate classification of peripheral nerve injury is important to identify those injuries that require surgical intervention. Early surgery improves the outcome from peripheral nerve injury

How do we decide on the severity of a nerve injury and therefore the need for surgery? This talk classifies nerve injuries based on current understanding of nerve physiology and recovery from injury. Later talks demonstrate how this knowledge may be used to aid clinical assessment and examination.
